The Port of Hamburg

The Port of Hamburg is the largest sea port in Germany. Our boat is moored directly at St. Pauli-Landungsbrücken, the “water station” of Hamburg. The piers are a popular destination, thanks to the views of impressive buildings along the river Elbe, with the skyline of Hamburg on one side and the container port on the other, as well as numerous small shops and restaurants. In addition to the commuters, who catch the harbour ferry from here to get to work on the other side of the Elbe, crowds of day-trippers and tourists assemble on the piers, from where they set off on tours of the harbour. In the evenings, you will encounter audience members using the shuttle ferries to the two musical theatres on the opposite bank.

Arrival with public transportation

To arrive at St. Pauli Landungsbrücken you can take the underground S1, S2, S3n and U3. You can also take the busses 111, 112, 608, 61, 62, 68-Airbus, 72, 73, and 75 which stop near the pier.

From 9th September to 15th December 2019, the U3 stop Landungsbrücken will not be served by the subways. Reason for this are renovation work.

The stop Landungsbrücken can still be reached with the bus lines 111 and 112 and the commuter railroad S1, S2 and S3.

During the autumn holidays (03. to 20.10.2019), the commuter railroad line (S1, S2, S3) between Altona and Hauptbahnhof will be closed. During this period, a substitute bus service will be set up.
